I am an advocate for the working-class people of our region who feel voiceless and unrepresented. I serve as a grassroots leader in the Republican Party, organizing citizens to reach voters with our message of strong families, economic prosperity and limited government. Governor DeSantis saw the work I was doing to fight for our conservative, Christian values and he appointed me to the Alachua County Commission. I put my neck out as an unabashed conservative fighter who stands up to the Ivory Tower elites in Gainesville and Tallahassee. Too many politicians ignore the working class and prefer to kowtow to monied special interests instead. I looked around and wondered who would best fill the role of State Representative for House District 22. After due diligence I realized- I am she.
I have spoken with thousands of voters from all corners of House District 22. Mine has been a grassroots, boots-on-the-ground campaign. I’ve visited neighborhoods of all socio-economic status. My training at UF Law, and undergraduate training in Psychology at UCF, taught me the skill of listening. And since I’ve served as State Committeewoman for the county republican executive board since 2019 I was well prepared to do the days-long work of knocking on voter’s doors. I honed these skills on the campaign trial. Instead of having a big-mouthed answer for every matter, I listen in detail to what citizens tell me.
The number one problem I hear from residents of House District 22 is how the extra $200 per month in insurance premiums on top of the mortgage is about to drive them out of home ownership. The insurance industry is regulated, subsidized, and forced upon homeowners. It is not a free-market product and it is time for Republicans to be accountable to the working-class people; not Tallahassee and Washington D.C. special interests. I look forward to working with House Speaker Designate Danny Perez on day one of Legislative Session 2025 to fix Florida’s insurance industry.
Residents of Levy and Gilchrist Counties are rightfully concerned about solar farms taking up thousands of acres of space while failing to providing any benefit to the community at large. Solar farms do not produce any agricultural product, but our Representatives in Tallahassee granted utility companies an agricultural zoning exemption. This agricultural zoning benefits a few land owners and the utility company executives. I will propose legislation in Tallahassee to require industrial zoning for solar farms so utility companies provide a reasonable and significant tax benefit to the counties. This is how we fund our police, schools and services for families, children and elderly.
Cast your vote for conservative fighter Raemi Eagle-Glenn. I will be your advocate in Tallahassee and I will fight for you.
