Bronson Town Council members honored two Students of the Month at their Feb. 6 meeting with Councilwoman Sherrie Schuler making the presentations.
Kadie Crews, nominated by Kelby Barber, is a fantastic student in class. She is always respectful, completes her work on time, and has started participating in many FFA events. She worked hard to learn forestry and is now joining the land judging team. She made a huge donation to our toy drive and really exemplifies the FFA motto by “Living to Serve.”
Riley Bray, nominated by Nancy Williams, is an excellent student, a self-starter, responsible, organized, and motivated. This is his senior year and he has never received student of the month. My theory is that sometimes we neglect those students who have always made good choices. We tend to praise students with improved behavior. Riley is a leader. He participates in sports and clubs. He uses his manners and respects adults, but he also has a sharp wit and a sense of humor. This year he only has one class on campus: mine. The rest of his schedule consists of college classes and CDE. He is already a productive citizen and I am proud of him.
Students of the Month receive an academic achievement award and $20 cash from the town council.
