Retiring Bronson Council Members Recognized

By Terry Witt – Spotlight Senior Reporter

Three Bronson Town Council members, one of whom retired two years ago and the others who are retiring this month, were honored at a recent council meeting for their contributions to the town.

Mayor Robert Partin presented proclamations to Beatrice Roberts and Aaron Edmondson, but the third councilman, Jason Hunt, had been called away for a family medical emergency and couldn’t be present for the presentations.

Partin said Roberts served from September 2001 to September 2021 and was part of the transformation of Bronson over the past two decades.

He said Aaron Edmondson, who served from September 2001 through April 2021, was also part of the city’s transformation over two decades of service.

“We have not always agreed on everything, I’ll say that,” said Partin. “But we have one thing in common. I always say Aaron was for the betterment of Bronson.”

Hunt, the youngest of the three retirees, served from September 2015 through April of 2023, and like his counterparts, was considered part of the changes the town has experienced.

Among the biggest changes were the hiring of Town Manager Susan Beaudet and the construction of a $1.8 million Bronson Fire Station.
