Candidates for the Sept. 14 Bronson town election will answer questions Thursday evening (Sept. 9) at the Levy County Commission meeting room.
The candidates’ forum starts at 6 p.m. The first hour will be devoted to questions from the town. The second hour will be set aside for questions from the public.
Allen Alexander has agreed to participate as a candidate for District 3, but his opponent, Sherrie Schuler, hadn’t responded to the town’s invitation as of Wednesday afternoon.
Incumbent District 1 Commissioner Robert Partin and his opponent, Mark Kjeseth have agreed to participate.
Town Manager Susan Beaudet has prepared a set of questions for the first segment of the forum. Members of the public can ask questions of the candidates that they feel are important.
District 5 Councilman Tyler Voorhees was elected to office without opposition. Voorhees doesn’t have to participate in the candidates’ forum. Beaudet said he may arrive an hour late if he decides to attend.
