Chiefland Students of the Month Honored by City Commissioners

Chiefland City Commissioners honored their Students of the Month Monday with Commissioner Lewrissa Johns making the presentations.

Niles Berry, a Chiefland Elementary School 4th grader, was nominated by Ms. Aguirre.

Niles hardly ever has to be redirected or given directions multiple times. He asks questions when needed and is able to work with others to help them understand. Even when peers around him are not doing the right thing, he doesn’t let them get him off track. If ever there is a time when clarification is needed, I can trust that Niles was paying attention and knows what to do! Niles speaks his mind and tells the truth which makes him a reliable and respected classmate who has everyone’s best learning environment in mind. You are doing a great job! Keep up the good work!

Arvian Sweet, a Chiefland Middle High School 8th grader, was nominated by the 8th-grade teachers. She is very kind, friendly, and welcoming. She is always helpful and generous.

Devon Bowser, a Chiefland High School 12th grader and son of Brandy Hicks was nominated by the high school teachers. He has shown drastic improvement in course completion, credit retrieval, grades, and his overall attitude. He is motivated and driven and determined to graduate. I am so proud of him and feel like he deserves this recognition.
