Chiefland City Commissioners Monday honored two Students of the Month with Mayor Chris Jones making the presentations.
Destiny Clifford, a 5th grader at Chiefland Elementary School and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford, was nominated by Christy Jones and April Rogers.
Destiny is a model student. She is kind, hardworking, and helpful to both her peers and her teachers. She always completes her work and she goes above and beyond every day at school. Destiny’s passion is horses, and I can see her accomplishing great things in the equestrian world in the future.
Aiden Duncan, an 8th grader at Chiefland Middle High School and son of Jennifer Harrington, was nominated by the 8th-grade teachers. We at Chiefland Middle High School would like to take the time to recognize Michael “Aiden” Duncan. Aiden is recognized for his excellent behavior on campus as well as his superb grades. He is a model student, citizen, and Chiefland Indian. Congratulations on this distinguished achievement.
Students of the Month are given a certificate of achievement and a $20 Walmart gift certificate courtesy of the Chiefland Rotary Club.
