Williston Mayor Charles Goodman presented the Student of the Month Award at the most recent meeting on behalf of himself and the City Council.
Kevin Dominguez, a 1st grader at Joyce Bullock Elementary School and son of Kevin Dominguez was nominated by Ms. Hudson and Mrs. Coleman. They made the following comments. Kevin is so deserving of this award! When we met him at our Meet the Teacher Night, we knew he was a very special child and he has proven to be just that! Academically, Kevin always gives his best effort and continues to shine always gives his best effort and continues to shine and grow each day. There are some things such as effort, motivation, and perseverance that you cannot teach and Kevin has it all!! Kevin is one of the kindest kids we have ever met. He is so respectful to adults, but it is the way he interacts with his peers that makes him stand out. Kevin is always willing to help his friends whenever they need him. This could mean playing with someone who may not have a friend, walking with another student who may not know how to get there on our campus, or helping a friend during our center rotations. Kevin has so many positive characteristics! We could go on and on listing all of the reasons why Kevin was chosen for our JBE Mayor Student of the Month, but we thought we would list a few things his peers said about him.
- Kevin is always nice to people
- Kevin respects others
- Kevin is very smart
- Kevin is just a really good friend
- Kevin always includes others in his games at recess
- Kevin is a really good reader
- Kevin is just a kind person.
Kevin: Ms. Hudson and Mrs. Coleman are so proud of you!! Keep working hard and always keep the love in your heart. You will do wonderful things.
Students of the Month in Williston receive a certificate and a gift coupon for a large pizza at Dominos.
