Layla Robinson, a 2nd grader at Joyce Bullock Elementary and daughter of Laticia Coleman is an exceptional student, according to Zury Mayer who nominated her. Every day she walks into class with a smile on her face ready to take on the day with a great attitude. She is a hard worker who goes above and beyond the expectations and has been a great role model to her peers. Layla enjoys participating in classroom discussions and is always willing to lend a helping hand. She has a kind heart that has shown itself many times already this year. Layla is a bright and bubbly light in our classroom and we are so lucky to have her.
Giovanni Delacruz, a 2nd grader at Joyce Bullock Elementary School and son of Consuelo Delacruz was nominated by Todd Horvath. He said Giovanni not only improves himself personally and academically, but he also strives to help others be a better person. Giovanni demonstrates a strong desire to be the best and is a positive role model for all students to follow. He is very hard working, respect
ful and kind. Giovanni participates in all classroom activities and is not timid to answer questions. Giovanni’s work ethic coupled with a positive attitude and natural sense of citizenship allows him to stand out as an exceptional student. He maintains excellent grades, is always prepared for class and communicates well with all his teachers. He sets many positive examples for others to follow.
Alyze Mya Perez, son of Luz Ortiz and a 7th grader at Williston Middle School was nominated by Ashley Faust. She said Alyze
continuously demonstrates good character traits, leadership skills and a tremendous work ethic in the classroom.
Aron Alejandro Centeno Cervantes, a 10th grader at Williston High School and son of Victor Centeno was nominated by the 10th grade team at WHS. Aron comes in every day with a smile on his face and he is always positive. He actively participates daily, and happily accepts the challenges in Advanced Placement (AP) literature. He also has a great sense of humor.
All four students were given a certificate for a free pizza from the Angelina Mia restaurant in Williston. The restaurant has been giving away free pizzas to Student of the Month winners for years.
