Committee to Interview Judge Candidates Tuesday

                The Eighth Judicial Nominating Commission has selected six county judge applicants for interviews at the Levy County Courthouse on Tuesday, Aug. 1.

            The vacancy was created by the retirement of Levy County Judge James T. Browning for health reasons.

            Applicants and the times of their interviews are:

            -Sunshine Baynard 9 a.m.

            -Luis E. Bustamonte 9:20 a.m.

            -Doreen T. Inkeles 9:40 a.m.

            -Arielle Screws 10:30 a.m.

            -Caridad Susan Torres 10:50 a.m.

            -Cheryl Dianne Westmoreland 11:10 a.m.

            Interviews of the candidates are open to the public. Deliberation sessions, which generally occur before the interviews begin, during breaks, and at the conclusion of the interview session, are confidential.

            Nominating commission members are Chairman Norm Fugate, Vice Chair Lindsey Turner, Ronald Bendekovic, Candice Brower, Christopher Elsey, State Attorney Brian Kramer, Rebecca Shinholser, Brent Siegel, and Robert Woody.
