May 9, 2023, Composting Workshop
If the good citizens of Levy County give a resounding NO to the proposed manure dumping at the May 9, workshop, will they be ignored in favor of All-In Removal’s owner Reid Nagle?
Marion County doesn’t allow stockpiles of manure and wood shavings in their county.
Fines are imposed for anyone over the allotted limit stockpiled on their property.
What does Marion County know that we don’t?
Why does All In Removal not have a site to dump its manure loads in Marion County?
Could it be that Marion County considers manure composting to be manufacturing and therefore only allows it in industrial zones?
May 9th will be another opportunity to just say NO in person to your county commissioners. The manure composting workshop starts at 3:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Levy County Government Center behind the Levy County Courthouse.
Levy County residents have circulated two different petitions for two different manure compost sites to stop the manure dumps from locating next to their homes. They have also contacted commissioners by phone and email.
Petition 1 – Nov 26, 2022, Morriston, Proposed Manure Dump
The petition states, “To Our Neighbors: We need your voice to send a message to our Levy County representatives that we are strongly opposed to the proposed usage of land as a manure dump/compost business within our local Morriston community, especially the location between SE 180th Avenue and SE 42nd Place.
