Student of the Month Honored by Chiefland Commissioners

Chiefland City Commissioners honored their Student of the Month Monday with Commissioner Rollin Hudson presenting the Outstanding Student Award.

Emma Swain, daughter of Stacy and Mark Swain, is an 11^th grader at Chiefland High School and was nominated by the high school teachers.

Emma always comes in ready to work. She balances a full class load with extra-curricular activities with grace and a smile. She always gets her assignments done to the best of her ability and fully prepares for class activities. Emma is a joy to have in class because of her positive attitude and strong work either. She is kind, thoughtful, and responsible.

Student of the Month winners also receive a $20 Walmart gift certificate courtesy of the Chiefland Rotary Club.
