Chiefland City Commissioners honored their Student of the Month for November at the Dec. 12 City Commission meeting.

            Commissioner Lance Hayes presented Garrison Haldeman with his Outstanding Student Award and a $20 Wal-Mart certificate courtesy of Chiefland Rotary Club.

            Garrison was nominated by Ashley Agnoli. She said Garrison is a very kind and thoughtful friend. He is patient and understanding with his classmates. He is encouraging and always has a nice word to say. I can always depend on him to be a friend to anyone. He includes everyone and always makes room for an extra buddy at recess. Thank you, Garrison, for being a fantastic friend and setting such an amazing example for others. Great job!

            Commissioner Lewrissa Johns complimented Garrison on how he was dressed.
