Chiefland City Commissioners recognized their deputy clerk at the most recent commission meeting for five years of service to the city.
Belinda Wilkerson began working for the city in September of 2017 as the city’s grants coordinator.
“She did a fabulous job. We have a new fire truck because of Belinda,” said City Manager Laura Cain.
Cain showered her deputy clerk with compliments for her excellent work performance.
“I couldn’t do my job without Belinda. She’s my sidekick, she’s my go-to, she’s my everything,” Cain said.
Jackie Bennett, who has worked for the city for 15 years, and Randy McCumber who has been with the city for 10 years, were also recognized by the commission. Neither was present for the meeting.
