There have been questions regarding an alleged secret meeting I had with Mr. Goodman and my comments regarding the BLM Movement. I am going to set the record straight regarding both and will not comment any further on either item.

Yes, I did have a meeting with Mr. Goodman. Yes $100,000 was discussed which was for an environmental study at the Airport. In the meeting there was another individual that accompanied me but because of the sensitivity of the content of the meeting he wished to remain anonymous. This meeting was a discussion about the possible huge economic impact at the Williston Airport which would have a major impact, in a positive way, for the City.

However, what Mr. Goodman DID NOT go on to say was that I and this gentleman met with the other four council members, individually, as well. Furthermore, Mr. Goodman was in favor of what was discussed, and this issue was brought before the whole Council in one of their public meetings. In that meeting Mr. Goodman voted in favor of the environmental study. So, it was not a secret meeting, and this was well within my rights as Mayor to meet with each Council member. There were no Sunshine violations.

Yes, I am against the BLM Movement/Organization and will always be against this organization. My question to you, why aren’t you? This is an admitted Marxist and Communist organization. They condone rioting, looting, bodily injury, damage to property, murder of private citizens and police officers, and the overthrow of America. So yes, I am against this and will be against ANY organization that does the same. Black lives do matter as do all lives.
