This is a call to action for all taxpayers and citizens in Levy County who believe Animal Control needs a full-time veterinarian and vet tech more than the full-time, $74,000 annual salary plus benefits, fluff position of a Public Information Officer. Please call county coordinator, Wilbur Dean, 352-486-5218, or email dean-wilbur@levycounty.org and TELL HIM WE NEED A VETERINARIAN, NOT A PIO. WITHDRAW THE POSITION FROM THE BUDGET NOW!! Once this position is filled it will never go away.  Just Say NO!

Email all the commissioners who created this useless money pit of a political hack position and let them know we need a full-time vet, not a hot air, fast-talking, piece of fluff, PIO mouthpiece!  It’s our money, not theirs!
